McChesney
Hi everyone. I originally created a personal blog for the class (http://diana836.blogspot.com/2009/07/remediation.html) where my initial blogs can be found. Unfortunately, I do not have anything though provoking to add to the McChesney assignment because my order from Amazon has not arrive at my home. I am tracking my order to see where it is. Bolter and Grusin has arrived so I continue with the readings and catch back up when the other books arrive.

Wow - that's a nifty project! I do hope it continues (funding slices notwithstanding). It's interesting that you mention the newspaper example. I think, in a way, Newspapers remediate twice. Each piece has a headline and the story. Some have photos, too, or other graphics. A relationship exists between the elements, as each surround one story. But I don't think it's uncommon for a reader to scan the newspaper, reading the headlines and pictures/graphics then only reading those stories which grab their attention. In this way, a newspaper can be viewed as a series of remediations.
